Veterinary Services

Comprehensive veterinary care
in Aberdeenshire

Founded by Neil Crossling, BVMS MRCVS, in 1999, Morven Veterinary Practice provides a comprehensive range of veterinary services for pets, horses and farm animals in Aberdeenshire. We are a truly independent mixed practice, with our main practice in Alford and and a branch practice in Ballater.

Out of hours emergency services

At Morven Vets we believe that continuity of care is vital for our patients well-being. This is why we provide our own out of hours emergency service at our main branch in Alford.

With the trend of out of hours clinics covering a large number of practices, involving ever-increasing journey times and the transfer of hospitalised patients between sites, we see real value in offering our own independent service.

You can see a regular Morven Vet at our Alford practice, where we can access your pets full medical records in order to provide the best continuous care and when needed the same vet can provide follow up care.

At Morven Vets we want to make preventative health care easy and affordable for all our clients.

Prevention is better than cure, and this should include regular examinations, vaccinations, regular flea tick and worm prevention, and high-quality nutrition.

    • Emergency Care

Whatever your equine emergency our experienced team of vets are here for you. Nationally there is a trend towards corporatised veterinary groups sharing out of hours cover over huge areas with little or zero patient continuity or sharing of full medical histories in an emergency - we stand strongly against this, for the sake of our patients, our clients, and our own peace of mind. We are proud to provide our own out of hours emergency service. Nobody ever wants to think of the worst happening, but for your own peace of mind, it’s important to know that if the worst does happen it will be one of your regular Morven Vets that comes to see you.
